Our meetings start promptly at 11:30am PST and run through 1:30pm PST.
The regulars in our group notice who genuinely shows up and engages with us, vs who doesn't...
Guess who gets the most business value from participating?
OK, this part admittedly isn't particularly innovative... But "how we do anything is how we do everything" - so please don't waste your or our time by being an interloper. ;D
In the spirit of innovation, it tends to change from time to time! Check back here before each meeting so you're prepared.
Also in the spirit of innovation, we do not budget time to go around the room with traditional elevator pitches every meeting.
Instead, please be prepared to say 1-2 sentences to introduce yourself to the group, either:
after you give someone a testimonial
when you engage in our group discussion
Otherwise, be prepared to briefly tell us about yourself in 15 seconds during our flash introductions segment.
We love having guests attend! To supplement the short time we have to be introduced during our meetings, we encourage guests to connect with our members during the networking time baked into our agenda and to schedule one-on-one follow-up conversations with any individual members you wish to get to know better.
We have received complaints about people who turn their video off, leave their camera facing an empty chair, dial into Zoom while driving, or walk around the room with a smartphone which broadcasts a distracting video to others during our Zoom meetings...
Out of respect to all ProVisors members who show up, we kindly request that you plan to:
attend our meeting from a safe, quiet, stationary location
keep your video turned on as you stay engaged thru the duration of the meeting (just as you would in an in-person meeting)
Tips here on how to connect your telephone audio call with your Zoom video (if your built-in computer audio isn't working)
We frequently experiment with new ways to schedule troikas - please do NOT submit troika requests via email.
Please read the full contents of the RSVP email sent to registered meeting attendees approx. 1 week before each meeting for specifics about how troikas will be arranged in the upcoming meeting.
Since we’re a Zoom-only group where attendees can’t stand face-to-face for a few minutes before they walk out of the meeting room to easily schedule their troikas:
Sometimes our troika master will rely on your submission to this troika request form to arrange your troika, which you'll receive an email about shortly after the meeting wraps up.
Sometimes we'll dedicate the last few minutes of each Zoom meeting to place attendees in Zoom breakout rooms to schedule their troikas on the spot -- this will avoid the need for attendees to trade multiple back & forth emails over multiple days to successfully set up their troikas after the Zoom meeting ends, and it will also prevent actively engaged attendees from getting paired in a troika with other ProVisors members who left the meeting early or were no-shows...
We also always encourage attendees to be strategic and resourceful by intentionally reaching out to other attendees before/after the regular group meetings to schedule 1:1’s as desired.
PVIAG appreciates our volunteers!
Group leaders and EC members in attendance will each have time allocated to briefly introduce themselves at some point during our meeting
Want more airtime in our meetings? Sign up here to apply to our EC!
We love promoting commerce between our members and guests!
Testimonials are encouraged only for people who are actually in attendance
First come first served; raise your hand via Zoom please
Content guidelines:
Your testimonial should always highlight something noteworthy and memorable about the person you’re thanking
Make them the hero!
You can include a brief description of the related business activity for context
Don't forget to mention your name, title, and company name, plus 1-2 sentences about your business sweet spot
We encourage attendees to prepare brief and thoughtful testimonials in advance of the meeting itself:
One successful approach is to speak or correspond in advance with the person you’re planning to thank and ask them help you draft a concise and meaningful script to recite during the meeting.
Regardless of your approach, please be respectful of other meeting attendees by following the above guidelines in delivering concise, high quality testimonials.
This is your chance to enhance your experience in our meeting, show off your professional insights and value, etc.!
Please show up prepared to ask questions and share your ideas relevant to the presentation topic of the month, preceded by a brief 1-2 sentences to introduce yourself to the group.
First come first served, raise your hand via Zoom, please.
